On Saturday, January 20, 2001, CME will install and test a new TOPS Software Release, Version 15.1. All firms are welcome and encouraged to participate in the testing. Participating firms will be provided a script Friday, January 19, 2001 by fax or email. Testing will begin at 9:00 a.m. and should conclude around 10:30 a.m.

Here are some of the changes that were added to TOPS Release 15.1:

• The following order types have been added for CBOT markets:
• Market-if-touch (MIT),
• Stop limit (STL) (at the same price)
• Stop limit on close (SLC)
• Stop limit on open (SLO)
• Stop close only (SCO)
• Stop open only (SOO)

• Drop Copies identify rejected and rerouted orders
• Drop copies identify the destination device
• Half-tick prices are allowed for spread fills
• User can modify their own password
• New "L" code for history file to show rejected/rerouted order*
• Or better (OB) orders can only be entered as a type, and no longer as a qualifier

*An "L" record will be added whenever an order is rejected from an electronic device and rerouted to a printer. We will no longer update the text information in the open order file with this information.
