PC-SPAN version 4.02a is now available.  This update fixes a bug
inadvertently introduced in version 4.02 in reading of initial to
maintenance ratios in unpacked- and packed-format SPAN files for
products for which the intracommodity spread charge method code
is defined as "01". In this case the rates were being read as 1
even if they were higher.

For spec customer portfolios and certain CBOT products, the bug
could cause the initial requirement to be erroneously set equal
to the maintenance requirement instead of the correctly scaled-up
value. 

The fix also corrects a similar problem in reading initial to
maintenance ratios in the Euronext ("Paris-format") SPAN file,
and fixes the Euronext "liquidation risk" calculation to
correctly take duration into account when being used for a debt
security.

We recommend that all registered users of PC-SPAN download the
updated version from our software distribution web site at
