We wish to remind firms that there are two different sources for contract deltas.

The combined CBOT-CME SPAN® files contain SPAN composite deltas for each contract.  These are published for use in performance bond (margin) calculations and are actually probability-weighted estimates of what each contract's delta will be one day in the future.

Current deltas for each contract are available for CBOT contracts in the CBOT Settlement Price file and for CME contracts in the CME Settlement Price File.  These are the contract deltas as of the close of the business for the current day, and are the ones which should be used for position limit calculations and for determining whether particular customer positions must be reported as part of Large Trader Reporting.

CBOT-CME SPAN files are available on the Internet at ftp.cme.com/pub/span/data/ccl and on the Firm FTP Server in the pub/span directory.  Settlement price files for CBOT and for CME are available on the Internet at ftp.cme.com/pub/settle and on the Firm FTP Server in the pub/settle directory.  File layouts are at:
