Early Trade Checking - Financials

BROKERS, TRADERS AND TRADE CHECKERS IN THE FINANCIAL ROOM ARE TO BE ON THE FLOOR BY 6:30 A.M. FRIDAY MORNING, MARCH 2, 2007.

Firms are urged to reconcile as many transactions as possible this afternoon.

Member firms are responsible for ensuring the attendance of their trade checkers.  If a trade checker is needed and is not already present, the trade checker must respond to a phone call/page and arrive in the trade checking area within 5 minutes.

The Floor Conduct Committee may assess penalties up to $1,000.00 for members or member firms that fail to comply with the Exchange’s trade checking requirements.

Trade checkers are only permitted to check trades and reconcile transactions for and on behalf of their employers outside the trading pit.  Checking trades within the pit, including before the opening of trading, creates additional unnecessary congestion.

Trading pits and space within the pit are the priority of the Members of the Exchange.  Therefore, trade checkers are respectfully requested to reconcile their transactions in designated trade-checking areas.
