Reduction in Max Deliverable Capacity at Regular Warehouses in Soybean Oil

As previously announced, the Board of Directors of the Chicago Board of Trade has approved a reduction in the maximum deliverable capacity at Soybean Oil regular warehouses from 30 to 20 times a warehouse’s registered daily rate of loading.  Subject to CFTC approval, this change will be effective for all Soybean Oil futures contract months from January 2007 forward.

In connection with this change, warehouses that have outstanding receipts in excess of 20 times their registered daily rate of loading on January 1, 2007 will not be permitted to register additional receipts until the day after the number of outstanding receipts at the warehouse is less than 20 times the warehouse’s daily rate of loading.

Please direct any questions in this regard to John Hill in the Registrar’s Office (312-435-3592) or Fred Seamon in Business Development (312-347-3808).
