The Board of Directors and the CFTC have approved regulation changes for CBOT® South American Soybean futures to:

-        Reduce the maximum carrying charge for outstanding shipping certificates from ½ cent to 15/100 of one cent per bushel per day; and

-        Establish a minimum delivery quantity of 35, 000 bushels for initial deliveries.

These amendments will be effective for all South American Soybean futures contract months from March 2006 forward.
