The Chicago Board of Trade has been notified by ADM Grain Company that the pdfk at its Morris West shipping station was damaged on Friday January 6, 2005. The damage to the pdfk will not allow barges to be positioned for loading purposes.
Under Regulation 1081.01(12)(G)(8), if it becomes impossible to load at a shipping station, the shipper will arrange for water conveyance to be loaded at another regular shipping station in conformance with the Shipping Certificate and will compensate the owner for any transportation loss resulting from the change in the location of the shipping station. Currently, the firm has 110 Corn and 110 Soybean shipping certificates registered at this location.
No new registrations at this location will be allowed until repairs have been made and the facility has been re-inspected by the Registrar’s Office. A notice will be issued once the facility has been re-inspected.
If you have any questions, please contact John D. Hill in the Registrar’s Office at (312) 435-3592.
