Micro Bitcoin Trading Challenge

Calling all new challengers

 

It’s never too late to learn something new or to master a new skill like learning to trade Micro Bitcoin futures (MBT).  Over the course of a week, come practice in a risk-free simulated trading environment and learn futures trading and all about MBT futures and other cryptocurrency futures. 

Launched on May 3, MBT futures are 1/10 the size of one bitcoin, providing market participants with an efficient, cost-effective new way to fine-tune bitcoin exposure and enhance their trading strategies.

If you're new to trading, we will send you educational opportunities like our "Master the Trade: Futures" course designed for new-to-futures traders and which feature the perspectives and tips of seasoned pros.

The top three finishers for this challenge will earn cash prizes. Gain valuable experience in a simulated environment while competing for a top spot.

 

This competition is open to residents in the United States (US), Canada (CA) excluding Quebec, United Kingdom (UK), Germany (DE), Netherlands (NL), Switzerland (CH), Republic of Korea (KR), Taiwan (TW), and Japan (JP).

Get Started

  1. REGISTER: (NO PURCHASE NECESSARY) Register free with the CME Institute, which is where you will access the trading simulator.
  2. PREPARE: Arm yourself with product knowledge and practice before the contest starts by completing the pre-competition tasks outlined.
  3. COMPETE: Test your skills in the trading challenge beginning Sunday, June 6 at 5:00 p.m. CT / 22:00 UTC.

Competition Details

  • Throughout the Competition, all trades will be completed in the Challenge Simulator
  • All traders will begin with a virtual account of $100,000, with the goal of increasing the balance as much as possible by the conclusion of the competition
  • The top three traders with the highest account balance and completed Eligibility Checklist at the end of five days will earn cash prizes and bragging rights.
