Why: By using its annual net income of over $3 million for charitable
purposes in the Chicagoland area, and by making large, multi-year
grant commitments, CME Trust is doing its part to solidify
Chicago's position as the center of education in financial
markets, futures and derivatives, while at the same time
providing better educational opportunities for children in and
around Chicago by focusing on their health and readiness to
learn. Mayor Daley will help the CME Trust celebrate this new
philanthropic force in Chicago, joined by leaders in the City's
education and nonprofit community along with students who will
benefit from the CME Trust grants.
