CBOT CHRISTMAS/NEW YEAR’S DAY HOLIDAY TRADING SCHEDULES

CHICAGO, December 11, 2006 – The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) has established the following trading schedules in connection with the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays:

Friday, Dec. 22

  • Open auction:  Agricultural and Financial contracts will close at 12:00 p.m.  (Mini-sized Ag and Metals contracts will close at 12:30 p.m.)  Stock Index contracts will close at 3:15 p.m.
  • Electronic trading:  Agricultural and Dow/AIG Commodity IndexSM contracts will close at 12:00 p.m Metals contracts will close at 12:30 p.m.  Financial contracts will close at 1:00 p.mStock Index contracts will close at normal times.

Sunday, Dec. 24

  • Overnight electronic trading will be closed.

Monday, Dec. 25

  • All daytime trading will be closed.  Overnight electronic trading will be closed.
  • (Electronic trading re-opens on Tues., Dec. 26 as follows:  Agricultural and Dow/AIG at normal times; Financials beginning at 6:00 a.m.; Stock Index and Metals beginning at 6:15 a.m.; $10 DJIA contracts will not open on e-cbot for trade date Dec. 26.)

Friday, Dec. 29

  • Open auction:  Agricultural and Financial contracts will close at 12:00 p.m.  (Mini-sized Ag contracts and Metals contracts will close at 12:30 p.m.)  Stock Index contracts will close at 3:15 p.m.
  • Electronic trading: Dow-AIG Commodity Index contracts will close at 12:00 p.m.  Metals contracts will close at 12:30 p.m.  Financial contracts will close at 1:00 p.m.  Stock Index contracts will close at normal times.

Sunday, Dec. 31

  • Overnight electronic trading will be closed.

Monday, Jan. 1

  • All daytime trading will be closed.  Overnight electronic trading will be open.
