Cryptocurrency BasisWatch and Implied Rate Tool

About the tool

These tools allow market participants to toggle between two critical views of the Crypto futures landscape.

• BasisWatch: Analyzes the relationship between futures and spot prices.
• Implied Rate: Visualizes annualized spot and forward rate curves to pinpoint yield opportunities.

For the purpose of BasisWatch:

• The spot price is derived from the respective CME CF Spot-Quoted Cryptocurrency Marker, which is a 60-second time-weighted average price (TWAP) based on the underlying real-time index from 3:59 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET).
• The nearest monthly contract is used for calculations at 4:00 p.m. ET, rolling into the next available contract on the last Tuesday of the maturity month.
