Highlights
Stocks advanced on Thursday with the AI momentum trade and technology shares leading after Nvidia’s latest blowout earnings results. Outside of tech, most stocks were lower.
At 1:45 PM ET, the Dow Jones industrial average gained 0.4 percent, the S&P 500 was up 0.8 percent, and the Nasdaq rallied 1.5 percent. US Treasury yields were flat to higher as the market awaits Fed Chair Kevin Warsh’s appearance at Jackson Hole on Friday. The dollar was nearly flat and oil prices were slightly higher.
