Highlights
South Korea's trade balance trade surplus narrowed from a record high $36.15 billion in June to $30.32 billion in July. Exports were again very strong, up 62.8 percent on the year after increasing 70.9 percent previously, largely reflecting ongoing demand for AI-hardware and semiconductors and a front-loading of orders due to concerns about disruptions caused by the Iran conflict. Imports rose 26.5 percent on the year after a previous increase of 30.1 percent.
