Highlights
Two big items on the agenda are the appearance by Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh at 9 am ET and the US ISM manufacturing report at 10 am ET today.
Warsh is appearing on a panel along with ECB President Christine Lagarde, Bank of Canada Governor Tiff Macklem, and Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey, at an event hosted by the ECB. That means he will have limited time to speak. It will be interesting to see whether Warsh will feel more inclined to discuss the policy outlook and the Fed's reaction function alongside other central bankers who tend to be a lot more open than Warsh was during his post-FOMC press conference. It seems doubtful.
For ISM, the Econoday consensus sees the manufacturing business activity index at 53.9 for June, almost unchanged from 54.0 in the May report.
