Weekly jobless claims and existing home sales reports are in focus for Thursday. Claims, due at 8:30 am ET, are expected to show a retreat to 215K from a surprisingly high 231K last week, back toward their 4-week moving average at 212K. The consensus for existing home sales, due at 10 am ET, looks for sales down to an annual rate of 4.20 million for January, down from a surprisingly strong 4.35 million in December.
