Highlights

The Bank of England and European Central Bank are both expected to leave rates unchanged at their respective policy meetings on Thursday, and both are expected to remain vague in their guidance and data-dependent, rather like the Fed after its latest meeting. The BOE announcement is due at 7 am ET and the ECB at 8:15 am ET.

Separately, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics has rescheduled its JOLTS job openings report for 10 am ET on Thursday, delayed from Tuesday due to the short-lived government shutdown. Expectations call for job openings at a 7.245 million rate in December, up from a low 7.150 million in November.
