Highlights

After a poor reception for the US Treasury 10-year note auction yesterday, there is heightened interest in today's 30-year bond reopening sale at 1 pm ET. Overseas investors reportedly did not show up for the 10-year. The question is: how much are long end Treasuries struggling as the riskier part of the yield curve given concerns about the safety of US assets? Is global investor demand for long-end US debt starting to crack?

Separately, lots of focus on a batch of distinctly dovish comments from NY Fed President John Williams in Wednesday interview with New York Times. Williams, who is considered an FOMC centrist who generally reflects Fed Chair Jerome Powell's views, said is focusing on a slowdown in hiring. He said he would back"lower rates later this year, but we'll have to see exactly what that means."
