The LPGA CME Group Tour Championship – now in its fifth year as the re-formatted “FedEx Cup equivalent” on the LPGA tour – features the season long “Race to the CME Globe,” where LPGA players compete throughout the season to qualify for a season-ending championship tournament. Featuring the best of the best in women’s golf, the CME Group Tour Championship will take place November 17–20 at the world-renowned Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Florida.
From a branding perspective, the CME Group Tour Championship continues to hit new viewership records and generate worldwide media coverage on ABC, the Golf Channel as well as print, online and social media channels.
In addition to our title sponsorship of the tournament and the season-long points race, CME Group also sponsors two prominent LPGA players, Brittany Lincicome and Mo Martin. As a 2014 addition to our LPGA player endorsement initiatives, Mo Martin won the 2014 RICOH British Women's Open. Brittany Lincicome won a major championship early in the 2015 season with her victory at the ANA Inspiration Tournament. At that tournament alone, Brittany was watched by nearly 3.5 million viewers globally.
CME Group was proud to be a Foundation Partner of the 2016 Louis Vuitton America's Cup World Series in June 2016. Making maritime history, this event took place on the shoreline of beautiful Lake Michigan, the first fresh-water venue to host America’s Cup Sailing in the event's 165-year history.
