    Registration is now closed.

We look forward to you joining us for an online event exploring rising rates and their impact on the Treasury futures market. Included below is who will be speaking and a detailed agenda for the online event.

Speakers

Hosted by our Economic and Education teams, this live, interactive online event will feature the following CME Group subject matter experts:

  • Bluford Putnam, Chief Economist
  • David Gibbs, Director of Education
  • Erik Norland, Executive Director of Economic Research

Agenda

The webinar will explore the following:

  • The Fed’s latest statements regarding reducing its balance sheet and unwinding its historically large asset purchases due to the COVID-19 pandemic may have an impact on the U.S. Treasury yields.
  • Additionally, modifications to the U.S. Treasury debt issuance may also impact yields. This online event will explore what this means for investors and traders of fixed income products.
  • The online event will also review the pricing of physically settled U.S. Treasury futures, comparisons to the Cheapest to Deliver (CTD) securities, and how recent increases in the U.S. Treasury yields have affected modified duration and CTDs.
