CME ClearPort Enhancements

The following enhancements to CME ClearPort are now available:

Brokers and Traders
UUsers will be able to sort all columns in the CME ClearPort® Trade Blotter by selecting the sort icon. Clicking the icon next to the column name will activate the top arrow, , which will sort the column alphabetically, numerically or by date in ascending order. If you wish to sort in descending order, please select the sort icon again to activate the bottom arrow.

Traders
Automatic email notification informing customers of being a party to CME ClearPort submissions will now be sent from custcare@cmegroup.com instead of NYMEX clearport@nymex.com. Please be sure to add this email to your company's "safe sender" list to avoid any interruption in receiving these emails, or to modify any email rules you may have in place accordingly.

Notification of Delisting of Contract Months with Zero Open Interest for COMEX miNY Silver Futures Contract

Please be advised that effective Monday, August 17, 2009, the Exchange will delist the following contract months with zero open interest for the COMEX miNY Silver Futures (code QI) Contract: Jan 2010; Mar 2010; May 2010; Jul 2010; and Sept 2010.

The Exchange is also in the process of delisting the COMEX miNY Gold Futures (50 Troy Ounces) (QO) and COMEX miNY Silver Futures (2,500 Troy Ounces) (QI) contracts. These contracts are being replaced with the cash-settled E-mini Gold Futures (33 Troy Ounces) and E-mini Silver Futures (1,000 Troy Ounces) contracts which became available for trading on CME Globex on April 20, 2009. The COMEX miNY Gold Futures and COMEX miNY Silver Futures contract months will continue to be delisted on an ongoing basis as open interest in these contracts unwinds and there will be no additional months listed for trading.

Request for Cross Eligibility for NYMEX and COMEX Options

Effective Sunday, August 16, 2009 (trade date Monday, August 17), all NYMEX and COMEX options listed on CME Globex will become eligible for Cross order submission using the Request for Cross (RFC) functionality. RFC requires the submission of the New Order Cross (FIX tag 35-MsgType=s) message for a Cross trade.

In addition to the technical requirements, the regulatory requirements and process will be implemented.

Cross order eligibility is defined in positions 789, RFC Eligible Flag, and 800, RFQ for Cross Eligible Flag.

 For more information please review the Cross Order section of the Options module of the iLink SDK.

These products with RFC eligibility are available for customer testing in New Release as of Monday, August 3. Customer applications are required to certify for the New Order Cross message before submitting cross orders in production. Please contact your trading application provider for more information.
