Platinum Options Open Interest Sustains Record-Breaking Streak

Explosive growth in Platinum Options open interest has continued unabated into June, producing four new records with a high of 19,758 contracts attained on Jun. 9, 2011, a 144 percent increase over the record of 8,829 contracts set a mere two months earlier on Apr. 11, 2011.

Palladium Options Set New Volume Record

Palladium Options reached a new record volume of 2,278 contracts traded on Jun. 8, 2011, replacing the previous record of 2,000 contracts set on Nov. 8, 2011.

Gold Options Listing Schedule and Silver Options Strike Prices

Effective trade date Monday, Jun. 20, 2011, the Exchange will expand the listing schedule for the OG: Gold Options contract and offer additional strike prices for the SO: Silver Options contract to provide greater flexibility to the trading community. Gold and Silver options remain listed for trading on the New York trading floor and CME Globex, and for submission for clearing through CME ClearPort.

CME Clearing Accepts Gold as Collateral

CME Clearing offers an enhanced Performance Bond Collateral schedule that allows firms to post physical gold to CME Clearing to cover non-segregated (NSEG) Performance Bond requirements. For more information, please visit the links below:

Copper Options Strike Price Rule Change

Effective trade date Monday, Jun. 20, 2011, the Exchange will expand the listing schedule for the HX: Copper Options contract to provide greater flexibility to the trading community. Copper options remain listed for trading on the New York trading floor and CME Globex, and for submission for clearing through CME ClearPort.
