Product Overview
E-mini Russell 2000 futures provide a way to efficiently gain exposure to an index of small-capitalization stocks in one transaction, compared to trading a basket of small-cap stocks. They also enable you to:
- Trade a smaller-sized Russell 2000 contract compared to the standard product
- Benefit from lower trading costs compared to individual stocks or Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs)
- Russell Index contracts will be listed at CME Group through the Sep 2008 contract month; after that, they will no longer be accessible on CME Globex
- Use a financial tool that accommodates a range of strategies, different market environments and varied objectives
