The New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), now a part of CME Group, has been involved in Emissions markets since 2008 - initially through its partner exchange GreenX which was fully acquired by CME Group in April 2012. All GreenX products were transferred over to NYMEX on August 27, 2012.
NYMEX Emissions offers a comprehensive product slate in European and US emissions markets, including the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS), the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), Joint Implementation (JI), and the California Carbon Allowance (CCA) market.
