CME Group, which now includes NYMEX, offers the largest and most liquid marketplace for and options on global benchmark energy products. These include crude oil, natural gas, heating oil, gasoline, ethanol, propane, and other products.
We provide three venues for trading energy contracts – electronic trading via CME Globex, open outcry trading on our trading floor in New York, and centrally cleared off-exchange or OTC transactions. Clearport handles the clearing of more than 350 energy products, traded both on- and off-exchange. Our central clearing process for all CME Group products ensures transparency, virtually eliminates counterparty credit risk, and provides a solid foundation for all CME Group transactions.
