In April of 2014, CME Clearing first requested clearing firms to begin daily submissions of additional client data for risk and default management. After several delays, the final date for compliance was set at September 30, 2015. This date coincided with the date for CFTC Ownership & Control Reporting (OCR) - September 30 was the CFTC’s final date for compliance.
Earlier this week a CFTC official announced that the September 30 OCR deadline would be relaxed. CME Clearing has received many questions as to whether CME’s deadline for submission of additional client data would correspondingly be changed.
To avoid confusion following the CFTC’s announcement, CME Clearing is postponing the compliance date for submission of additional client data, from September 30, back one month, to October 30, 2015.
