      NOTICE #:     MKR03-27-17

SUBJECT:     Updated List of Approved Live Cattle Delivery Points for 2017

As previously announced on March 13, 2017 (see MKR03-13-17), the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (“CME” or “Exchange”) implemented amendments to CME Chapter 7 (“Delivery Facilities and Procedures”) pertaining to, among other things, delivery point regularity rules for the Live Cattle futures contract. The amendments became effective today, beginning with the April 2017 contract month.

An updated 2017 list of Exchange-approved livestock yards and slaughter plants by delivery territory, along with maximum daily live delivery limits and contact information has been incorporated into the Interpretations & Special Notices Relating to Chapter 7 of the CME Rulebook and can be found here

Please be reminded that any Exchange-approved slaughter plant may be selected for carcass-graded delivery provided that the approved slaughter plant corresponds to the livestock yard designated by the seller, or, is within 225 road miles of the feedlot from which the cattle originate.
