CBOT ANNOUNCES THANKSGIVING DAY HOLIDAY TRADING SCHEDULE

CHICAGO, November 8, 2006 – The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) has established the following trading schedule in connection with the Thanksgiving Day holiday:

Wednesday, Nov. 22

  • Open auction:  Agricultural and Financial contracts will close at 12:00 p.m.  Mini-Sized Agricultural and Metals contracts will close at 12:30 p.m. Stock Index contracts will close at 3:15 p.m.
  • Electronic trading:  Agricultural and Dow-AIG Commodity Index SM contracts will close at 12:00 p.m. Metals contracts will close at 12:30 p.m.  Financial contracts will close at 1:00 p.m.  Stock Index contracts will close at normal times.
  • Overnight electronic trading will be closed.

Thursday, Nov. 23

  • All daytime trading will be closed. Overnight electronic trading reopens at normal evening times for all applicable contracts (Agricultural, Financial, Stock Index & Metals). 

Friday, Nov. 24:

  • Open auction:  All pit trading opens at normal times. Agricultural and Financial contracts will close at 12:00 p.m. Mini-Sized Agricultural contracts will close at 12:30 p.m.  Stock Index contracts will close at 12:15 p.m. Mini-Sized Ag and Metals contracts will close at 12:30 p.m.
  • Electronic trading:   Dow-AIG Commodity Index contracts will remain closed.  Agricultural contracts will close at 12:00 p.m.  Stock Index and Metals contracts will close at 12:30 p.m. Financial contracts will close at 1:00 p.m.
