Exchange Changes Spot Month Position Limits for Some Emissions Futures Contracts

NEW YORK, N.Y., January 13, 2006 — The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., announced today that it will reduce the current spot month speculative position limits for its two–year forward (RQ) and three–year (RR) forward nitrogen oxide emissions allowance futures contracts on NYMEX ClearPort® beginning on January 17.

The spot month speculative position limites will decrease to 125 contracts from 200 contracts.
