The Korea Financial Investment Association's (KOFIA') roles and functions cover: Market Management, Financial Investment Industry, Policy Recommendation, Education and Training, Fostering Investment Culture. KOFIA was launched on February 4, 2009 through the merger of the three associations - the Korea Securities Dealers Association, the Asset Management Association and Korea Futures Association) - representing the securities, asset management and futures industry, as set forth by the Financial Investment Services and Capital Markets Act (FSCMA). These previous three associations had played an essential role in building the framework of Korea's capital market and financial investment industry.
