Average 5 year note auction by most measures
The five year auction sees a bid to cover of 2.89 which is near the 12 month average. Dealers took 45.3% which is also near average. The spread between the median and the high yield was 5 bps and again in line with the 12 month average. The auction results do not show strong safe haven or worry about equity market weakness.
