The silver market seemed to outperform the gold market at times in the Friday morning US trade. Perhaps silver was cheered by the recovery in the US equity markets, as silver recently has garnered some of its direction from classic physical commodity fundamentals and higher equities generally helps to foster risk on type buying. It is also possible that silver was lifted by favorable US durable goods data, but at times this morning silver was probably held back by weakness in platinum and copper prices.
