The silver market came alive today in the wake of the Fed speech. Like gold, it is likely that such significant gains on the charts prompted some technically related buying of silver. With US equities soaring, the Euro rising sharply and a host of physical commodities carving out gains the overall market environment probably gave would be silver buyers added resolve. In retrospect, US scheduled data appeared to carry very little importance against the flow of headlines from Jackson Hole.
