Like gold, the silver market was lifted by hopes of central bank easing, but some of the gains this morning might have come off firming US equity prices. It is also possible that silver prices were lifted this morning off a measure of pre-holiday euphoria. In the end, a mid morning reversal in the Dollar and overt strength in industrial commodity markets helped the silver buyers gain control over would-be sellers of silver. One could even say that stronger than expected US auto sales figures this morning added to the track of macro economic optimism today, as those readings were very impressive.
