The gold market was under initial pressure before gold prices literally flew off the mat and blasted their way to a $73 an ounce low to high bounce. Apparently the combination of fresh easing prospects and or enhanced Euro zone failure fears probably prompted a fresh flight of capital into both gold and silver this morning. Some press outlets reported a mass exodus of bearish players, while others suggested that the buying was at least partially related to safe haven buying off the prospect of a breakdown of the Euro situation next week. While the gold market did see some supportive currency market action this morning, that action didn't seem to be indicative of some type of major shift in trend.
