The silver market was trading mostly higher today but its gains weren't as definitive as the gains seen in the gold market. Like gold, silver was probably partially lifted by an improvement in Michigan sentiment figures. In fact, to trade in positive ground this morning, silver had to buck adverse currency market action and it had to overcome a choppy two sided trade in US equities. Perhaps silver was being held back by fears of renewed trouble in the Euro zone into and through the long US holiday weekend.
