The silver market also waffled around both sides of unchanged today but the silver market was ultimately unable to take out the prior session high. Like gold, the silver market tried to spin the weaker than expected US data into a positive, by talk that weaker data might push the Fed to provide fresh assistance. However, it is possible that silver prices were given just as much upside lift from the action in copper and grain prices, as they were from Fed hopes. While silver saw a marginally supportive currency market action this morning, silver has recently taken more direction from its physical commodity market standing, than from its financial or flight to quality standing.
