June 30-Year Bonds trended lower throughout the US trading session following a well-received Spanish debt auction and a rally in global equity markets. Some traders indicated that Spain was able to attract more than enough interest at this morning's auction, and that was seen as a factor curbing demand for safe haven Treasuries. The weakness across the Treasury curve helped push 10-Year Note yields back above 2.0%. This morning's US economic data fostered little reaction to price action, with March US housing starts coming in below expectations, while building permits rose to their best levels and 3.5 years.
