Mid-Session Interest Rate Market Report

March 30-Year Bonds established their low of the day during the early morning hours but turned back into positive territory as the session progressed. The early rally in global equity markets and other risk assets seemed to dampen the safety-bid for Treasuries pressure prices down to new 9-day lows. Some traders indicated that the turn higher later came in the wake of headlines that the European Central Bank was undecided on the amount of funds to allocate toward the Greek debt situation. The Treasury market faces a $24.0 billion 10-Year Note auction today. Some traders suggested that demand could come in weaker following a mediocre turnout at yesterday's 3-Year Note auction.
