April natural gas prices trended lower throughout the early morning hours. Some traders suggested that the focus in the natural gas market has returned back toward record high US production and extremely large surplus compared to the five-year average of 38%. It also seems that weather forecasts that call for normal to above normal temperatures in key demand areas in the Eastern half of the country continue to limit heat-related demand for natural gas.
