Mid-Session Hog Market Report
April hogs traded slightly higher early in the session and traded lower into the mid-session as outside market forces shifted to a more negative view. Cash hogs were steady to lower today but pork cut-out values firmed late yesterday. Pork cutout values yesterday came in at $85.18, up 43 cents from Monday. Fears of a slowdown in exports may have sparked some long liquidation selling.
