Silver Market Recap Report for 11/6/2009

The silver market didn't spend as much time in positive ground as the gold market on Friday morning and into mid session silver prices were feeling the liquidation pressure from rather aggressive declines in energies and grain prices. Like the gold market, the silver market was also undermined by the initial strength in the Dollar but the Dollar action Friday was mostly mixed. Some silver traders suggested that seeing gold and stocks avoid significant selling pressure served to mitigate the negative spillover into the silver market.

The daily commentaries provide a recap of each commodity's traded price activity, an analysis of the factors that influenced price activity, a recap of any reports released that day, and a look ahead at the next day's schedule. CME Group provides market commentaries for corn, wheat, soybeans, gold and silver.
