OTC and Exchange Traded Derivatives Industry Recovered in Terms of Overt Market Size

The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) publishes information regarding the total outstanding value of over-the-counter (OTC) and exchange-traded derivatives positions on a semiannual basis.

BIS's November 2011 release, covering data through June 2011, indicates that the OTC and exchange traded derivatives industries have recovered nicely from the downturn occasioned by the subprime mortgage crisis, measured in terms of overt market size.
