CME Group has implemented a registration process in order to provide firms with market maker contact information for the purpose of engaging in
Pre-execution communications for trades intended for execution on CME Globex are subject to the requirements of CME and CBOT Rule 539 and NYMEX Rule 11G.539. Block trades are subject to the requirements of CME and CBOT Rule 526, NYMEX Rule 6.21C and COMEX Rule 104.36C. Where allowed, customers may contact market makers for the purpose of engaging in block trades or in pre-execution communications with respect to the execution of options trades on CME Globex .

Block trades may take place only between Eligible Contract Participants (ECP) and are permitted only in certain products subject to specified minimum transaction quantities.
