Director of the Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute at the University of Missouri-Columbia (FAPRI-MU)
Patrick has a B.A. in political science from the University of Iowa, a M.A. in Latin American studies from the University of Texas, and a Ph.D. in agricultural economics from Iowa State University.
Patrick joined FAPRI-MU in 1996 and has worked on a range of projects spanning the United States, Europe, Africa and Latin America.
He is the author of The Economics of Food: How Feeding and Fueling the Planet Affects Food Prices.
FAPRI-MU is one of the country’s leading agricultural research institutions, conducting analyses for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Environmental Protection Agency, among others, while providing related information to legislators, trade organizations, agribusinesses and individuals.
