Janet Yellen, speaking to economics teachers, said the economy is "strong" and that wage growth is "beginning to pick up." Inflation is "pretty close" to the Fed's 2 percent target, she said, adding that risks are "pretty balanced." Yellen repeated that slow productivity growth and income equality are special risks to the long-term outlook.
