Bill Marcus

Bill Marcus is Head of Sales, Americas at Newedge Group. Newedge is a brand new global brokerage launched January 2008 through the merging of industry leaders Calyon Financial and Fimat. Formerly Bill was Head of North American Business Development and the Chicago Sales Manager at Calyon Financial. A 25-year veteran of the futures industry, he leads business development and coordination between both Newedge's global offices and several of its parent banking groups. Marcus has been with Calyon Financial (formerly known as Carr Futures) since 2000, when he joined as institutional client manager. Previously, he was senior vice president of sales at Sakura Dellsher Inc.; from 1992 through early 1994, he worked at Bear Stearns and Co. as vice president for the Chicago financial futures sales group. In 1989. he worked at Discount Corporation of New York Futures, where he was recognized for developing the firm's presence in equity derivatives. From 1985 to 1989, he worked for Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette, ultimately becoming head of the futures and options desk. In 1982 Marcus established Marcus Securities.
