The position is responsible for executing CME Clearing’s overnight risk management program. The analyst will be responsible for monitoring market activity during Asian and European market hours for substantial fluctuations in market conditions and analyzing the effects of these conditions on CME Clearing member firms. The analyst will analyze member firms overnight exposures and trading activity in all markets for which CME Clearing provides clearing services. The analyst will also be responsible for analyzing performance bond changes and settlement pay/collects generated during the end of day clearing cycle. The position also entails certain operational responsibilities such as monitoring the execution of end of day clearing cycle, performing a series of market open system checks on Sunday nights and troubleshooting and resolving any clearing system, firm or customer operational issues that arise during 2nd and 3rd shift. The analyst will write an overnight market event turnover report for each trade date and a summary report each week and further develop CME Clearing’s member firm and customer overnight risk profiles.
Requirements
The requirements of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Familiarity with futures and options trading, financial risk management and settlement functions.
Excellent customer service, outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, detail oriented.
Familiar with settlement processes for futures and options.
Comfortable using MS Word and Excel and the MS Office suite.
Strong written communication skills preferred.
Must be able to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
