The candidate will mainly be involved in the development of web based distributed solutations using a variety of technologies including Java, servlets, HTML and Javascript for CME Group's fee applications.  A high level of technical expertise in these core Java competencies is required.  The selected candidate needs to be self-motivated and be able to plan and execute based on imposed deadlines.  They will also be required to take ownership of, responsibility for and provide 24 x 7 support on assigned applications.

The candidate is also expected to participate in system analysis, design, implementation, documentation and testing in support of the CME Group's goals and initiatives.  This person must have exceptional interpersonal communication skills, be able to provide technical guidance and encourage/support a collaborative approach to development.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:

• 5+ years of development experie4nce in OO and distributed environments
• 3+ years of Java and J2EE development
• 3+ years with web applications, particularly knowledge of the MVC frameworks
• 2+ years of Weblogic Application Server or equivalent
• 3+ years experience with SQL and Relational databases
• Experience with shell scripting and plus
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux, ClearCase,  Eclipse, Hibernate/Spring, and Crystal Reports using formulas, groupings and parameters
• Knowledge of Struts and JSTL taglibs
• Knowledge of Rational Unified Process
• Knowledge of open source libraries such as Log4jm JUnit, Ant and Apache Commons
