Our community outreach program, Amicus, was formed to provide employees with a convenient way to personally help others. The name means “friendship” in Latin. CME Group employees have regular opportunities through the Amicus program to make a difference in the lives of those in need. 

During any given month, our employees can be found chaperoning children from a local homeless shelter on field trips, providing support for mothers and their children from a battered women’s shelter, and cooking for the homeless who are in need of food, along with a little dignity and respect. In short, Amicus represents the very best of what it means to be a CME Group employee. 

Amicus also provides volunteers on a regular basis with our adopted Chicago public school, Washington Irving Elementary. Through this partnership, our employees have the opportunity to improve the quality of education these students receive through donations of supplies and volunteer work at the school. Annual events such as Principal/Teacher for a Day and the Community Service Day & Family Picnic engage our employees in taking an active role in ensuring a brighter future for each Irving student.

The CME Foundation Matching Gift Program serves as another opportunity for our employees to support charitable causes. The CME Foundation established this program to give the CME Group community an important voice in the allocation of its charitable dollars. Since that time, the CME Foundation has matched a number of generous gifts to diverse causes including disaster relief, children in need, health care, education, animal rights and the fine arts. By joining forces, CME Group is able to make a lasting difference in the community.
