CME ClearPort API

CME ClearPort API
CME ClearPort provides a means for OTC market participants to submit off-exchange transactions into CME clearing. The CME ClearPort API (Application Programming Interface) offers a robust set of functions which allow customers to submit to CME ClearPort through their own proprietary trading software.

Note- Trades submitted via the ClearPort API are subject to the same rules, restrictions and validations that regulate the acceptance or rejection of transactions manually entered through the web-based ClearPort® Clearing UI (User Interface).

The CME ClearPort API has the following features:

  • FIXML-compliant request/response messaging (with some custom tags)
  • Multiple connectivity options: MQ Series or Secure HTTP
  • Broker, Asset Manager, and Active Trader firm support
  • Support for various types of platforms (Multi-broker, No-broker, SEFs)
  • Outright or Multi-leg trade submission
  • Leg pricing support for recognized spread types
  • Support of trade submissions with many-to-many allocations
  • Matching capabilities for single-sided trade submissions
  • Product-related reference data requests (product and contract-level data)
  • Entity-related reference data requests (account, firm, and user relationships)
  • Support for a broad set of derivatives in various asset classes (Energy, Metals, Ags, Interest Rates, Credit Default Swaps, FX) across many CME Group product exchanges (NYMEX, COMEX, DME, CME, CBOT, and CME Europe)
